Sorted sleep but still struggling to make life work?
If you have resolved any issues with your baby or toddler’s sleep but still feel overwhelmed or unsure how to make daily life work for you, I can help.
I offer specialist psychological coaching to help you make practical changes, look after your own wellbeing and build a family life that works for you.
Sometimes sleep isn’t the only answer.
Even when sleep issues like excessive night waking are resolved, life with a little one can still be challenging.
Perhaps you are wondering how on earth to manage evenings with your little one, or how to get any jobs done around the house without the long nap breaks your friends seem to get.
You may be worried about your relationship, or your own wellbeing, when life feels so pressured and there is so little time to relax or connect.
Perhaps you have found Possums, or another approach that works for you and your little one’s sleep, but you feel alone or are struggling with comments or judgment from others.
Supporting families with these issues has always been an important part of my sleep consultations. I am now offering this as a standalone service, to provide dedicated support to families in this particularly intense season of life.
If you are looking for practical and emotional support that goes beyond resolving sleep problems, you’re in the right place.
If you are struggling with sleep problems, you may wish to consider a sleep consultation first.
If you’re not sure whether you need a sleep consultation first, you are welcome to book a free 20-minute chat and we can discuss your specific situation and what might be most helpful.
I am a Chartered Child and Educational Psychologist, Sleep Specialist, NDC (Possums) Accredited Practitioner, and Coach. I have also lived through many of the challenges faced by the families I work with.
I understand that sometimes knowing what to do about sleep isn't enough. Life with a baby or toddler can involve balancing everyone's different needs while you're tired, short on time, and adjusting to a life that may look very different from the one you expected.
I bring together psychology, coaching, specialist knowledge of sleep and early development, and personal experience to help parents step back and think about the bigger picture: what matters to you and what would move you closer to the family life you want.
Together, we find practical ways to make family life work better and develop psychological skills that can help you live a good life with your little one.
How it works
In Beyond Sleep sessions, I offer support within a coaching framework. This means that we begin each session by clarifying what you would like to get from our time together, and we stay focused on your agenda throughout.
We can think together about practical changes to make your life more manageable and enjoyable. While the best ideas usually come from you, I have lots of ideas to share if you would like them. I am acutely aware of how hard it can be to think creatively when you are exhausted!
We can also think together about ways to support your emotional wellbeing, drawing on evidence-based psychological approaches. We can explore how to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, how to be kind to yourself, and how to handle particular situations you are struggling with.
We meet for several sessions, booked at intervals that suit you, so that we can try out practical strategies and practise psychological skills over time.

No, this is not therapy and does not replace any therapeutic support that may be needed. Although I use evidence-based psychological approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), these are offered within a coaching framework and relationship, which is distinct from therapy. If you are not sure whether Beyond Sleep is the right fit for your situation, you are welcome to book a free 20-minute chat to discuss your situation.

This depends entirely on you. I offer sessions in packages, as it is usually helpful to work together over time. You may find that a small number of sessions is all you need to feel more confident managing life in a way that works for you, or you may want to work together longer term. Either option is absolutely fine, and you can always book more sessions later on if you would like more support.

Yes, I often work with international clients. My professional insurance allows me to support families in most countries, with the exception of the USA and Canada.

If you are struggling with your child’s sleep and want to understand what’s happening and how you can help, you may want to consider a sleep consultation. You are then welcome to book in follow-up consultations to problem-solve sleep-related issues as you need them.
You may want to consider Beyond Sleep sessions if you feel you already understand your child’s sleep and you have resolved any major sleep problems, but still want more practical and/or emotional support making daily life work for you.
